MIT Pune, now known as MIT World Peace University (MIT WPU) is a Private University which was established in the year 1983.The college is really good and I'd recommend any student to come in if they want an all round development. It's quite expensive but worthwhile because you get a lot of added perks. Like national tours , visits , VAP etc which costs a lot of money outside. Every charges are already included in fee structure.

Basically , MIT Group of Institutions consist of 3 engineering colleges.

1. Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT)
2. M.I.T. College of Engineering (MITCOE)
3. MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE)
   
   All 3 colleges are affiliated to the Pune University. MIT & MICOE are located in the heart of Pune city i.e. in Kothrud area while MITAOE is about 20 Kms away from city i.e. at Alandi. But still MITAOE may lead in cut offs because now its an “Autonomous Institute” (from 2016–17 batch).
   Fees-
   Fees is nearly same for all 3 colleges , they can differ only by 4–5 thousands.
   Life at Campus-
   If you are addicted to city life, then you must opt for Kothrud Campus. Here,You will get the real feel of “Pune City Life” as its one of the most prestigious areas of Pune. You will get all variety of food stuff, stationary,hostels, flats on rent and all other facilities which you will need. While at Alandi campus you will surely miss many of these things. But both campuses are very clean and beautiful. The dome shaped buildings make them different from others.
   Events-
   MIT, Kothrud is known for the variety of events which it hosts. Huge number of Students across the country attend various Technical events such as Texephyr, Nirmitee, Tesla & other Non Technical events such as Summit, Bhartiya Chhatra Sansad etc. every year.
   Faculty-
   Faculty of all the 3 campuses is nearly same in quality but most of the experienced teachers are at main MIT college. But don’t worry, because in engineering, your own study & hard work matter the most .
   Placements-
   MIT institutes follow central placement system. Placement procedure is generally held at main MIT kothrud campus hence students of Alandi campus have to travel every time and come at Kothrud. But this scenario may change from 2016–17 batch as MITAOE has got autonomy.
   Looking at the stats of last few years, Placements of Comp, It, Entc are far better than other branches .But it may change in coming future.

ENTRANCE PREVIEW
IIT JEE - 85 marks 12th standard - 83% Maeer's Institute of Technology (MIT) is one of the best colleges for engineering in Pune and also at a very short distance from my residence. These were the main reasons for me enrolling in this college.

FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The fee structure is a bit on the expensive side but thats given since MIT is one of the top colleges for engineering in Pune. The fees are around 1,75,000 per annum for general quota. This excludes the stationary and exam form fees. The fees for participating in events is also extra.

PLACEMENT WING
MIT is one of the top and leading colleges in Pune when it comes to placement. Some of the top companies such as Accenture, Cognizant, Persistent, HP, L&T, Infosys, Tech Mahindra have visited us in the recent years. The college placement ratio is around 70%. Being all clear in all subjects of all semesters is compulsory for participating in college placements. People with distinction are given highest priority for the placements.

PROJECTS
According to the college rule u are supposed to complete a mini project every semester in a group of 4. Every group is allotted a teacher who is the guide for ur project and will help as well as evaluate u throughout the semester. This feature encourages students to apply their theorotical knowledge and also helps increase innovation and research

HOSTEL FACILITIES
MIT does not have a hostel of it's own but there are quite a few private hostels around the college for students. There are also many residential buildings where the students can stay as paying guests. There are 2 mess in the college campus which cater both veg, non-veg as well as Jain food.

ALUMNI
The senior students are extremely helpful and supportive of all the Juniors. They help you with any help that is needed for tge academic course or in general.

FACULTY
All the professor's are extremely qualified in their respective subjects and take an active interest in all the students course. They are just a call away whenever needed and are extremely helpful in whichever way they can be. They have evolved with time and have now moved on to more interesting ways to teach academics. For example blackboards have been replaced with white boards for displaying PPTs using projectors.

CAMPUS LIFE
The campus life is awesome. MIT has one of the most beautiful campus in India. Its lush green in the rainy season overlooking the mountains. There are as many girls as boys in MIT. There are strict punishments for any cases of bullying or sexual harrassment. The extra curricular activities include debates, singing/dancing competitions, robotics tournament, etc.

EXAM STRUCTURE
There is a proper balance between theory teaching and practical work in labs so as not to stress out the students in a day. The exam structure is 2 semesters every year. 1st semester is in October and 2nd semester is in April. There are 2 internal exams in college for every semester and surprise class tests almost every week.

COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The curriculum is as described by the Directorate of Technical Education. Equal importance is given to both theory as well as practical knowledge. Projects are compulsory for most of the subjects for better understanding. The 4th year projects are group projects where in we have to make an actual product or software and present it in front of the whole class. The latest introduction to the curriculum is an internship at a company of your choice for at least 40 hours to show. This is introduced for students to get an hands on experience for the job and better understanding of the outside market and world.

INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES
college does not provide internship. The 40 hours work experience that is required for 4th year project is to be searched by the students on their own merits

FOREIGN OPPORTUNITIES
The college has a tie up with a few universities in Canada and Hoff university in Germany. The students, if selected get to spend a semester there and learn in that college. It is a great opportunity to expand ur learning horizon and turns out to be a great experience

COLLEGE EVENTS
MIT apart from its various courses that it offers is also widely known for its cultural and extra curricular activities. The Technathon event is held yearly for all the Tech lovers. The Bharatiya Chattra Sansad (BCS) is held every year on the college grounds. We have teams participating in all the sports in inter college tournaments.

LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
There are scholarships for students who come from a poor economic background where in 75% of the course is sponsored by the college. There are also fee waivers for students of SC/ST. Students also have the option of paying college fees in monthly EMIs.

Btech Admission Process in MIT College of Engineering, Pune

So there is no special or separate procedure for admission in MIT pune.All you have to do fill the form for CAP round which is carried out by maharashtra government.

MIT Pune has fees structure 2.85 LPA and if you cannot get by counseling then you need to go for management quota seats.

First, it depends upon your department which one are you interested to take admission like CSE, ECE, MECH,PETROLEUM as per depending upon your Passsion & Choice of Branch.

• You must have atleast 50% PCM aggregate in Class 12th
• You must appear in either JEE MAINS or MHT-CET 2019

Admissions through these exams are purely based on the merit you will get. However, if by some circumstances you fail to fulfill these criteria you can apply in MIT Through Management Quota.
